The Social Gospel & Liberation Theology

I've written my next HNOKC.com column on this topic. I don't want to post it here until it has been published, but I wanted to let you know that it will be here soon. As you can probably tell, I've planned a series of posts in response to the Wright-Obama episode.

Looking forward to it. I'm a Baptist teaching theology at a Catholic University. Two of my colleagues went to school at the University of Louvain where Gutierrez also went. My take is that Rauschenbusch was a liberation theologian before being a liberation theologian was cool.

Yes, I do think there is more of that in Rauschenbusch than the rest of the social gospel movement, though I didn't go into too many details. I viewed it as an introduction for folk who probably didn't know anything about the topic.
