Post-9/11 Music

In the next few weeks, as we approach the tenth anniversary of 9/11/2001, I am going to reflect on the music that meant something to me during the days that followed, and then reflect on the music that has, in important ways, commented upon our post-9/11 context.   I hope you'll enjoy these reflections and share some of your own.

This will be interesting to follow. When 9-11 went down, I'd just had a second kid and I was preparing to got to the Marines. I was consuming a tremendous amount of music thanks to Todd Sheldon's awesome collection as well as Napster and other media share sites, so the insanity that followed for the next two years of my life very much felt set to a soundtrack. It'll be fascinating to see how often our tracklists intertwine.
