Phil K

2nd movie was a corollary to Art Imitates Life - a la can we handle reciprocating violence upon evil (a la combating terrorism with torture) vicariously through the Batman's treatment of Joker. Whether or not you thought it was sick, I thought it was a mirror reflection of our society.

I haven't seen the 3rd yet (baby, and all).

Lastly, I can think of DOZENS of films that I've seen in the theater that had confusing, shoot-em-up action by violent on-screen perpetrators that would've sufficiently distorted my reality. Not sure what his point was, there.
