Thanks for all the questions I get from friends and family wanting updates on our adoption process. It is fun to talk about.
We are mostly in a waiting game right now. We sent off our fingerprints to the FBI for them to okay us. When those get back to us, we'll submit them and some remaining documents to the adoption agency, who will then complete the homestudy. At that point we'll then just go on the list and starting waiting again.
This week our attorney did get back to us the first drafts of the batch of legal documents we've been needing to get for years -- wills, medical powers of attorney, etc. We're reviewing them and then will meet with him to execute them.
I haven't written anything more in a long while about our foster experience. Eventually over the weeks and months my desire to tell all of that has flamed out. So, I'm not sure I'll write anymore installments of that past story. Plus, it would have been complicated respecting confidentialities and complaining about folks and agencies without sounding like a negative, critical person that I don't want to sound like.
